Christmas gone, New Year coming

Mon Dec 29, 2008, 11:24 AM
  • Mood: Jolly
  • Listening to: My Art Museik playlist
  • Reading: Magazine for drawing practice
  • Watching: The horse stable across the street *wants one*
  • Playing: being a Dork!!!!
  • Eating: lunch...a turkey and pepperjack sandwich
  • Drinking: fruit juice
I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas :aww::heart: It didn't feel like Chrismas though, it came too fast. I got out of school and then I had to run around buying gifts, go to christmas parties, go driving around with my aunt admiring all the lights people had decorated their houses with. It was really pretty! There was one with a disney theme and the people were dressed up as the disney princesses and there was an Aladdin. It was really cute! Then there was a house where you tuned your radio to the station that was listed and the lights were syncronized with the music! so cool!!~ like this one--> [link]

I didn't give my dad a list this year (he wants one every year). I really didn't know what I wanted. I told him to use his imagination :giggle:. He complained that he didn't get one. I had a nice Christmas. I got my aunt a few books, she likes to read, Made of Honor, a iTunes card and lots of chocolates. ^^ I got a Wii, I didn't think it would fun, but O.M.G it's tons of fun! I'm really sore from playing all christmas day and a few hours on saturday. Me and my aunt played tennis, baseball and bowling. Those are our favorite games. and then on saturday, we decided to open the Wii Play game and, lol, My aunt was cracking up laughing when we played the cow racing game. I thought she would never breath again and she was crying! XD I was like "auntie, auntie, are you alright??!!?" I got some new (cute) clothes and some gift cards and the Twilight Series (er..saga)

On Twilight:
I never really thought about reading this series because I've heard more bad things about it than good on DA and I started the first book on saturday and now I'm half way done with it! I love the book!! I could not stop reading it yesterday and last night. I went to sleep at 12:30 and I would have stayed up all night if I could >///<!! so good! I recommend it if you like a nice love story. The characters are awesome, I love Edward's character the best. I'm going to draw something from a scene I visualized while reading.

Question: do you see the story in you mind when you're reading, like you're watching a movie? I'm afraid to watch the movie because I love the movie I made up in my head and afraid they made conflict >/////< lol, silly Jbou!

How was everyone else's Holiday?

Well I have to go get ready and head to my second home: Barnes and Noble :3 going to be a while!

=ShiroiKai:
Arby's is going to have the fruit teas in march or april!! yay!

Be Safe and be happy

Luv,

Ah you had such a busy and fun Christmas! What did I do?
Sleep.
Pretty much the entire time. And had fast food for dinner. lol Twas nice. XD

I love those lights that match music, I remember seeing that at Disney Land a long time ago with my Gramma. It was awesome, pretty much my favorite part about Disney Land~
And I have seen a couple commercials with it as well... one of them a beer commercial (lawl) and a Wal Mart commercial (bigger lawl, they never have THAT many lanes open). :P

Gah! Not you too!! D: I swear, I must be the only one out of my friends completely uninterested in Twilight. ;_; *left out* I can't help that I found it boring... ._. Edward annoys me, and kinda creeps me out in strange ways...
Ah... sorry... I'll stick with Vampire the Masquerade and other horror sci fi novels. *never been a huge romance fan, especially involving vampys and werewolves* Ahahaa...
*fail* orz

Ah as for that question, I sometimes find conflicts with reading a novel then seeing the film. Especially on scenery and actors' eyes, those just stick in my head majorly. :/ But usually what images I have in my head stick, not even the movie can change it too much. I say see the movie, maybe it'll give you more ideas for the movie already in your head and give you a cooler experience overall~

 Barnes & Noble! Second home... lol I'm right with you. XD Either there or Borders or Bookmans. :3

Right on! You'll love the teas! : D!

I loved that xmas lights video. xD
I had nice christmas. ^__^
And I think I'm going to buy the first book of Twilight, just gotta love vampire stories... >w< ~
The same thing happens to me too, I don't want to watch the movie of the books I read, my version is always the best. xD

My godson went to that lights thing with the Disney characters. We have lots of pics. :) But ewwwww Twilight. Just ewwwww.

Wii is all right, but I don't think I'm ever buying one. I'm an RPG girl. :) I like to play other games, but I never buy anything unless it's an RPG (or a Phoenix Wright game--I can't wait for the new one~!)

aww, I wish I could do nothing but sleep and be lazy, but my aunt would frown about me if I did nothing, she likes to keep my lazy body busy.

Yush, the lights are awesome!!! I saw the Wal Mart commercial, and I agree, they never have that many lanes open, but I avoid Wal Mart as much as possible, I don't like to shop there unless it was necessary. >>

lol, yes, me too XD, I got the same reaction from two other friends, they didn't seem to like Twilight either, hehe >> I agree that Edward was annoying at first, but he sorta grew on me ^^; I think I will see the movie, but after I finish the other three books :XD:

Barnes and Noble is my hang out spot, but I have to move around the store so people don't think I'm loitering.

I think I will enjoy the teas, I heard there was going to be passionfruit, I love that flavour!!

It depends what kind of romance. =P Usually I need to have some kind of action in the story too. :D

I read the first book. I didn't like it, but I loathe vampires to begin with. I only picked it up from the library because everyone I knew was obsessing over it and I wanted to see what the big deal was. I...instantly hated the main character and Edward, and I couldn't even finish the book. It feels like an author fantasy to me, like Mary Sue meets Gary Stu and they get pregnant and live happily ever after. Grossss. I actually know some ex-fans who loved the first book or two, but began to hate it as it went on. Anyway, that's my take on it. People don't always share exact interests. For one, I used to love the anime Naruto until a while ago. It's become really lame lately. And I'm not just saying that because a couple of my favorite characters died. I still love Blood + and Full Metal Alchemist and my favorite characters die. There's just something rushed and amateurish about how Kishimoto is writing the current storyline. Also, I need to get past the Bount Arc on Bleach to see if it gets cool again.

I love RPGs. My favorite is Fire Emblem. I also like Suikoden. :) I just got The World Ends With You, but I'm not playing it until I beat Trials and Tribulations.
